Unlikable MC and trashy romance bring down an otherwise good manga. This is a strange manga in that a ton of detail went into the world building and yet every few chapters it goes right back to ridiculous harem romance. Every woman the MC encounters goes googly eyed for no reason, and the MC has to come up with some lame excuse to reject them. This is about as trashy as you can get in the romance genre. I have no issue with the fanservice, and I actually would have preferred more fanservice with less harem/romance. Overall it's a disappointing manga, and doesn't have astrong enough hook to keep the reader invested.
