Title translation: the desperate paradise. This is actually pretty good. What to expect: lots of crualty, lots of deaths, lots of crazy cult people, some sex and nudity, and supernatural situations with some twists, and (gruesome) biology sci-fi. The story mostly takes place within the huge cult facility with a few open-space underground “levels” (big caves) and the surrounding forest. Our main guy needs wit, physical/mental indurance and allies to escape from nearly desperate situations. The main gang includes the main guy, glasses guy and the good girl. Main villians includes the bitch girl, the cult leader with mysterious power and the evil doctor. Also ayoung boy who looks like a girl, a delinquent teen, company ceo and the christian father. Just like a game.
I don’t like the main guy at the beginning but he becomes more and more likeable throughout the story. I also like that there is some complexity in the characters: there is no complete good or evil. A serial killer can be the trusty ally who risks his life to help his friend. An innocent-looking person can be manipulating from behind. Even the most hated bitch throughout the series can do good at times.
