Review of Horimiya
After long action packed animes, I wanted to change path and watch some good Slice of life romance anime and I "bumped" into Horimiya. To cut things short, it is a show about 2 classmates Hori and Miyamura falling in love with each other and the serias supposed to show how their love is growing. That's what you think at the first time, but surprsingliy after the first time the 2 classmates blushing at each other and you expect to see how their love is growing, the serias is keeping the same level of distance and behavior between the two. They both afraid to make moves, they both afraid to show imperssion and graditude, and there are some scenes that you can really feel the tension and then nothing happens. As a viewer your'e supposed to get pissed off because you want things to go well, but for me it was the opposite. It was so realistic. How many of us wanted to make a move and couldn't do it? how many of us wanted to show emotion but didn't do it because we were afraid of loosing, in reality things that includes emotion, expression, and being in love can take FOREVER and things not always going well and that is what "Horimiya" tried to showed us.
After a couple of episodes the seiras is kinda going in circles, seems to forget about our 2 classmates and starting to show the viewers the perpective of the other characters in the serias. It's getting all mixed up and you can have at least one character falling in love with other character and then 5 minutes later they just forget about it, and move to a diffrent scene. I'll say again that the avarge viewer may get bored fast because of this, but I was stunned because this was also very realistic, the fact that every one of us have their emotional rollercoeaster inside of us and we don't know what to do with it so sometimes we just throw emotions and feelings all over the place and then were cooling down and everything is thrown away.
The music went really good with the tension scenes and overall really connected you to the scenes.
Horimiya is very cheerful, cute and relaxing, and I'll definitley watch Season 2
