This will be the second time I'm writing a review on Black Clover since episode 138 and me singing its (majorly) unsung praises, brace yourselves. I don't recall watching a show that literally went from 0 to 100 over time and I understand people dropping the show very early on since the first quarter or so ranges from being hot garbage to mid junk food. Yeah, Asta does scream a lot in the beginning, that's the most common remark associated with the show here and it's the key factor in turning people away from the anime but there's also a time where he stops and gradually shiftsinto a more likeable, rational character and that's, among other things, the stepping stone for quality increase here.

Poor animation, unimpressive, unfulfilling villains, mid characterization and a predictable storyline are what I'd say to be the biggest things that plagued BC early on and brought such a demise upon it that some people find it to be unwatchable, and rightly so. I won't be mentioning specific timelines as to not spoil or indicate that something of such caliber is coming but bigger, more interesting things start to envelop while not clouding the primary objective here in the first place and that's where Pierrot starts going full meat no bone in on the series. The current state of Black Clover is not anything revolutionary but at best it's some good shounen food with bits that can really get to you.

Unprecedented, astonishing run overall, it's been a real good one.
