Review of Tsukigakirei

This Show was really relatable for me. The interaction between Akane and Kotarou felt so real, while their relationship was stil down to earth, if you let the beginning slide a bit. The feeling for the real situations engulfed so much, I binged this anime in one day, which I am not doing normally. It made me involve myself with our main couples emotionally so much so I even shed some tears at the Train scene in ep. 12 (I can count on one hand how many Anime made me shed tears). The Art: Even though the good use of CG was lacking (especially walkingcrowds and full body view sometimes) the Artstyle was refreshing and effort was really put into Akane‘s races and Kotarou‘s dance. This made the deficits a bit more prominent and I think the producers made cuts to the budget, because otherwise I can‘t explain the discrepancy in the animation. The best example in my mind is episode 10. Also their schooluniform looked sometimes like trainingsuits😂.
I liked the animation and art genuinely.
The Sounddesign:
The Music and Sounds were beautiful and stunning. The insert songs were placed very good to underline a scenes importance. The same goes for the beautiful Osts, which reminded me of Your Name. But the Sounds in this show are even more gorgeous imo. I‘ve never heard something this realistic in an anime like the closing of the refrigerator‘s door in Kotarou‘s house. The sounds while running/walking was on point. Nothing to critique here.
The Characters:
As for the Characters, they were very much believable and they did not went overboard with the stereotypes. Sometimes I wished for our two lovebirds to be just a bit more pushy or Kotarou to have a little bit more guts. For example for them to hug and hold hands one, two or three more times through the story would have Mada me like it even more, because at some points I was like „aww just hug her right now“. Their Characterdesign was also very realistic and appropriate for 9th Grade. Naturally except Roman with his wild character and exotic hair.
The enjoyment I felt through the story came mainly from the relatability as well as the interaction between our main heros. The short episodes were also really funny, especially RomanxSensei. I laughed really hard.
Maybe the anime could have gotten one or two more episodes to expand their dynamic after middle school further and make things more clear than the epilogue. I imagine this much like the 13th episode of Charlotte.

One of the Best Romance Anime I have watched ever and even more though it is an original. Studio feel I appreciate your hard work and would enjoy sth like an Ova of their Highschool College or work lives or sth like the parent introduction.
