Review of The Ancient Magus' Bride

Going into this I didn't read any reviews, I'm super glad about that because I noticed how many people thought this show was lame when I went to rate the anime. I found it when I was looking for recommendations after watching Houseki no Kuni. This is a beauty and the beast child bride show. I gave the story 7/10 because of this. Our heroine is traumatized and lonely and finds herself sold to the perfect person who can help her get through her abandonment issues etc. It's really sweet but also we never find out how old Elias is.... but it's called theancient magus' bride for a reason, right? anyway, I'm obviously not over the wrongness of this but I watched the 24 episodes in 3 days and loved every minute of it.
My main reason for loving this is the 'neighbours' and how fleshed out their world is. The different dragon species and the way they approached life and death was really interesting and gave me some new ideas for a world I'm building right now.
Watch this anime if you want to pretty animation and some contemplation on how much emotional strain a person can take before they give up trying to live their best life.
