Tonari no Seki-kun OVA · review
Since no one else has written a review for the OVA episode, I guess I'll try my hand at it. Tonari no Seki-kun is a light hearted comedy anime about the ways Seki wastes time in class, and how his classmate Yokoi reacts. The OVA is twice as long as a normal episode, and contains two 7 minute shorts. The OVA does a good job of establishing the basic formula which is used throughout the series: Seki starts playing around in class, Yokoi notices, and then reacts. This formula works very well throughout the series, with Seki's antics growing more unpredictable and hilarious. However, a lotof my enjoyment for the series came from Yokoi's over the top reactions as well. These two elements are both present in the OVA, which can be viewed either as a test to see if you'll like the series- or as just another episode.
Tonari no Seki-kun is a great anime to watch for a laugh, as it doesn't get repetitive and keeps the viewer laughing with all of Seki's ridiculous games.
