Review of Fire Force

This show obviously has taken inspiration from much different anime. It uses most of the shonen tropes but also does a few of its own things. Its not too long, so if it seems interesting i would give it an hour or two of your time. The story has a few twists and turns, feeling slower at times and too fast at others. However, its writing is decent when you look at the whole picture. What really stood out to me about this show was its art. It had solid animation all around, and very good animation during fights. The only other show I've seen davidproductions do was jojo, but i thought this had better animation (Although that makes sense. Jojo had more episodes per season, and fewer scenes to show effects like fire)
Sound was pretty good. I liked op1 and ed1 a lot, although the second ones disappointed me. Battle music and such was also decent.
The characters were also pretty good. Most had some sort of backstory. and they were all written pretty well. I wish we god more backstory for some characters tho.

personally, i enjoyed it pretty well, and although i wouldn't considered it new age top shonen, if you want a decent, short shonen that isn't super super mainstream then i would check this out.
