A collection of very well written and illustrated side stories that feel almost necessary to the series as a whole for the amount of light they shine on the characters. Each story takes place during a different place on the timeline, while answering some questions on lesser shown parts of the world. I would like to avoid spoiling any of the plotlines, but a standout to me was the "Hometown" story, following an abandoned deckman and his journey. It has maybe 5 full sentences in it's entirety, but it's impact catches you completely off guard by the end. Some of the more memorable moments from BattleAngel Alita for me come from this book. Anyone who has read through the entire series should surely read through this as well.
