Fish in the Trap · review
I made it about 17 minutes in and asked "why are people rating this so low?" And then I understood. The story is bad. It's terribly paced and the story isnt really that interesting and it's triggering. So the art was actually my favorite part. The cityscapes and arcade shots, a lot of the backgrounds, are just really good. Too bad the animation is so bad. Lots of slow panning shots that hurt the pacing mentioned before. The character art wasn't bad, but not enough to save this. The sound had some good piano and then terrible sound effects that were out of place. I don't know if i'msupposed to like any of the characters.
This became difficult to watch part way through. It was not enjoyable.
Overall, I felt like I was watching a train wreck. Everything was so dramatic and the "dangerous gays" was weird. Maybe the manga doesn't have the same issues. But this was just painful to watch halfway through.
