Review of Hyouka

This was the anime that made me a full time weeb. I will admit at first I only watched mostly for the cute girls and so I could self-insert myself into the world but the moment I watched this it introduced me to the true beauty of the world of anime. It captivated me with it's cast of characters, beautiful and unique visuals and just overall story. Let me start with the characters, I loved them because each one didn't feel like just another shallow anime character, NO, each and one of them are relatable to a great extent, they each have their own motivationfor life, not just the usual cliché, it really does feel like a high-school setting, they make it feel like its the real deal. Next up is the visuals, its KyoAni so that basically tells you what you need to know but I will go in to details with the visual aid they provide when a character explains something, they really went all out in it, simple yet fun, you won't get lost in the sentence because of it, it grabs your attention with its presentation but it's not too exaggerated that you forget what they were about. Next is the plot, despite it being a slice-of-life anime it is anything BUT boring but at the same time not too convoluted just enough to make you feel its just another day in a life of high-schoolers but with a little something out of place, it makes the regular everyday life of high-school seem fun despite it just being a normal one. Also I add that there really isn't a "main story" the story mostly focuses on the characters(this will be apparent in the late light novels). Overall I fell deep in love with this anime and I just hope they will adapt the later chapters in the light novel and also continue the light novel. I recommend this to those who enjoy a simple quiet anime preferably those still in high school so you can feel the atmosphere more, but if you're more in the action looking side don't watch this you won't find what you're looking for here, this ain't an anime fill with full-on nuts-to-butts action.
