Review of High School DxD
Alright, look. Forget the whole devils vs. angels thing for a second. Yeah, there's a story, there's fighting, there's some dragon arm power-up, whatever. That's not why we're here. We're here for one reason: Rias Gremory. My man Issei dies on his first date and gets brought back to life by the single most perfect being to ever be animated. I would let a fallen angel stab me a thousand times if it meant Rias would even look in my direction. And it's not just Rias! You've got Akeno, who could step on me and I'd say thank you. You've got Koneko being the quiet, cuteone. Asia is pure sunshine that must be protected. Issei literally fell into the best-case scenario for any man alive. The show is basically a "how-to" guide on achieving the ultimate dream. This isn't just a show; it's a spiritual experience. 10/10, peak fiction, would sell my soul to join the Occult Research Club. Don't watch this for the plot, watch it because you know what's good.
