Review of Monster

This was really boring for me and I would say that at least half of the episodes were not worth watching. The only good episodes had Johan, Inspector Lunge, or Wolfgang Grimmer. Dieter and Anna were useless annoying one dimensional characters. The psychologist fat guy makes no sense for helping Tenma since he really has no connection to him and everyone else. Only Tenma's psychologist friend makes sense I don't know why the other character exists. The art is standard 2000s era nothing special. I personally hate how flat it seems at times. Death Note has a similar style. If you keep watching this it will be forthe strong supporting characters. It really seems like a pointless story. It would've been better if it was more historically rooted. I think a cooler version of this story could be set in America with the CIA's Monarch program.

I felt compelled to watch this because this is considered one of the greatest and seminal works in anime. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else though.
