As an Anime only, this feels like a perfect end to a perfect romance anime. The characters grew up past school, life changed them a bit but overall, love prevails. This short is hearthmelting in it's pure sweetness and feels like the perfect payoff for the seasons of buildup from before. I know that they cut a lot of content but I also know that a lot of manga readers disliked the later arcs and the ending, so I assume that the studio decided to finish this like this was the best way to avoid the discourse and end the series on a high note,and I couldn't be happier with it.
