The MC is definitely pushover, weak, and wimpy. But that's not the main charm of this manga! It's the side character and the magic system. The author really thought about the magic system and the theory based on it really really well compared to other 99% of fantasy manga. The way the MC got lucky and met kind people that helps him grow. The way the development is fast (standard for manga of this kind) and light to read. I love it! Also I've read the old ones first, and know how bad the art style used to be. So I definitely love the story. I'm glad theart style got a remake so normies can enjoy it too
