A compelling thriller series with a fairly mature approach to the "revisiting your childhood" idea. Treads a lot of heavy topics, and engages you impressively well. Superb pacing, knows when to change focus between story plots (and intertwines them all well). Several moments during reading I felt a genuine "OH SHIT", specifically due to clever authorship (using manga layout tricks I couldn't really describe without spoiling things). Highly preferable to the Anime (or at the very least, a high preferable ending). I recommend you read before you watch, or at the very least read volume 4 (the manga finale) after finishing the anime, to seethe true ending.
