Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

Despite some extremely annoying ecchi elements cropping up at once a volume (including a seriously weird one in the first or second volume that genuinely almost made me abandon the series altogether), this is a very well made series with a delightful back and forth between dungeons and adventurers. You definitely get the sense the creator thought out the dungeon mechanics beforehand and is starting to play with the format a bit. The dungeon battles are interesting as you get to see how other dungeons do things, and the tactics used are unconventional and really interesting. These battles wouldn't feel out of place in aproper military series, and I mean that as a good thing.

The adventurer segments are also really good, combining the silliness and drama that comes with customer service, the intrigue of them potentially learning dungeon secrets, and the unique ways the MCs team deals with each adventurer. The clashing personalities are interesting, if somewhat trope-filled at times, there's one person in particular that's so comically evil it's honestly tiring to read.

However, the elephant in the room is the ecchi stuff, and in particular who they do it to. Both the main targets are designed as lolis, and one of the major ones doing it to one of those two has a sis-con fetish alongside the MC having a leg fetish that he doesn't really hold back on very often. The start of the series is also ROUGH, brutally establishing the rules of the world as being rather dark, which is annoying since it doesn't stay that way. The world after that becomes almost comically noblebright with the darkness of the first few chapters coming up in only one other place and it's the comically evil person mentioned before.

The ecchi stuff is almost certainly going to be a dealbreaker to some, I just skip over it when it comes up, but the slow burn romance and the fun tactical plays do make this series one to read, but I do entirely understand if the ecchi stuff and the rough first volume puts you off.
