Hitotsu shika Nai Mono · review
I adore this so much! Such a wonderful, slice of life story. It's so beautiful it makes me cry. The sadness Haruhi feels about being overlooked because of his twin that it makes him want to disappear really gets to me. There are times when we are just acknowledge for who we are and what we can do, and trying so hard for others can be exhausting and painful that you just crave a different kind of affection. And in Haruhi's case, it's seeing other people but is detached emotionally. It just made me so sad to see how he doesn't let his feelings show, and how when someone sees him a himself it feels odd and weird and makes him question if it was normal. I was a little skeptical on Masahiro's intention because we don't know his true nature, but when he really shows great affection and attention towards Haruhi it was heartbreaking yet at the same time I was glad that finally there was someone who could break his discouragement and let's him be himself.
