#DRCL Midnight Children is absolutely insane. If you thought Innocent could get pretty out-there at moments, imagine what the same guy could do with a supernatural horror story. It might be the translation (self-professed to be low-quality) or the way it's paced, but absolutely everything comes out of left field. There is little exposition, and absurd sights are shown without buildup, leaving the entire story so far soaked in whiplash. The art is absurdly good, even with the lost detail of magazine scans, helped by the freedom of cosmic horror, and the low-page-count monthly release schedule. It's very short at the moment, and looks tobe a worthy successor for fans of Innocent and Innocent Rouge.
