Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote · review
If you're here for relationship development between Yumiko and Chika, this is going to be an incredibly frustrating read. From volume 5 onward, the series switches its focus away from them in order to give spotlight to both old and new side characters. And since the author is really bad at making you care about the new characters, it feels like a drag. It's also incredibly repetitive with its slice of life material. Having to get through yet another boring dinner scene does not make for an enjoyable experience. I personally find myself skimming through most of every volume rather than properly reading. I'm going tosave you some disappointment: They're still not dating in the latest, 13th volume, however, its ending does give me a bit of hope. It's marked as yuri by the publisher, so I'm going to put some hope into it, even though it goes beyond slowburn at this point.
I do appreciate the series for its realism and fun character dynamics. There ARE many well-written, emotionally wrecking moments in store, but gettng to them IS frustrating.
