When a high school boy wakes up, he finds his world view has shifted to a floor view and soon discovers that he has become someone pet. Then he relies two things, one, that she is his crush Inukai-san and two, that he has become a dog. Now he has to deal with this new life with his human memories and somehow find a way back to being a human high school boy. As Pochaita the dog, we never here his human name other than guinea-pig or senpai, has to adjust living with his crush and seeing all her…skin as she is just treatinghim as a literal dog. He knows he must turn back to human, but he can neither remember how he got the way he is or, as time goes on, that he actually wants to turn back.

My Life as Inukai-san's Dog is truly a POV manga as we only ever see the word from his prospective and his memories. The only time we see what he looks like in dog form is in a mirror or reflected from some other surface. His life as a dog seems idyllic as he is with his crush and see’s all her bits, but at other time, being a dog has its drawbacks.

As our doggy hero figures his life out and must deal with the people he like and others that like him, he struggles to figure out if he is truly and man or a dog. As you would expect... there is some ecchi fan service thrown in too.
