Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

I haven't finished reading it but I believe I get the gist of it and I possibly will change my mind on this manga, as I continue to read it. I recommend it because it changes from your general seme and uke cliché and the whole Omega verse mess that we can see all around. Still we fall in the shoujo manga like category which I find to be a recurrent issue in the BL genre. To be more specific we get the general romance trope : confession, denial, confession, denial and so on. This is really frustating because you can see it happening miles away, andit feels like the manga really tries to check some items on a list to satisfy the romance genre. This annoys me because I dig the characters and the fact that we get a school setting instead of your average salary man situation or the bishounen esthetics : of course some BL stories should focus on first love that generally happens before adulthood, the same way shoujo manga does actually.

Thus I really like the characters, their design and the way they interact, sometimes it feels wholesome and natural, however the pace of the manga messes it all, in my opinion.

So a solid 7/10 for me, it could have been more if the author would have cut to the chase : I can suffer the whole Nisekoi shenanigans because you get funny situations and characters to care about, here you have only two MC's and yet the development feels really slow somehow. I really want to like this manga because if feels like a breath of fresh air in some regards, I believe I will come back once I am done reading it, but the beginning is quite average in my opinion.
