This is one of the few manga that really left a lasting imprint on me. The journey Kanta takes with Kosuna is not only riveting, but fun, grand, and ultimately very human. Kanta is one of those mc's who are the type to use and abuse literally anything and everyone, but Kanta lives in fucking post-apocalyptica so not only does it feel more human and not just douchy, and is sent right back in his stupid gruby little fuckin face sometimes. Also, the story is sick. It feels like the mc and his sidekick actually deserve the name desert punk with their talent and skills, and the actions scenarios play out in a real and believable way so that desert punk triumphs by the skin of his teeth. The art is sick, and often those kind of barren landscapes that are just so captivating despite being littered with debrief and corpses. I can't get enough of this manga. Its a goddamn shame this isn't a well known classic, and widely available in the west. I wish I could speak japanese just so I could know why this hasn't been updated or at least been given a proper translation in what seems like actual years. This truly one of the greats imo, on par with such as hxh, fmab, and those. Please read this, i beg of you
