(NO SPOILER) You should read the original and inconcluse Maou Dante before reading this remake, I will judge this Remake based on the original rendition. STORY: Even worse than the original's plot somehow. While both plots are the same, the structure in this one is changed completely, with the starting point being the plottwist/revelation of the first version of Maou Dante, making this remake void of any mystery or surprise, which makes it boring and a sludge to go through (Specially if you read the first Maou Dante before this, due to both mangas having the same plot with a different streamline). Also, don't expect agood ending. Considering the 70's Maou Dante didn't have an ending, how bad could it be done IF it was done? well, read this remake and you will have your answer. While I praised the plot of the 70's Maou Dante for it's originality, this remake falls flat on it's face.

ART: Easily the best aspect of this work. While I still don't like Go Nagai's character designs and anatomy, this remake goes to show how much he has improved since the original version. The characters look waaaay better now, albeit they still don't look great in my opinion. Just like in the original, the backgrounds and the monsters are drawn beautifully, if they were great in the first rendition, they're even greater now. You really feel the power and height this gozilla-like monsters (kaiju) have. I give it a 7 due to how much I despise the character designs.

CHARACTER: Most characters are pretty different compared to the original , there's still not much to say about them. Character development is present, just poor.

ENJOYMENT & Overall Opinion: I didn't enjoy reading this remake. Having read the original Maou Dante, I already knew the plot basically on it's entirety, with the only exception being the ending, which was the #1 reason I finished this manga, to see an ending that wasn´t finished since the 70's. Overall, dissapointing work by Go Nagai.
You might like it more if you get into it without having read the first version of Maou Dante (70's)
