Review of Sword Art Online
SAO gets a bad wrap. It doesn't deserve it. I'll give the hatebase a few props, though... On a few fronts, it is correct. SAO has a few plotholes that make no goddamn sense. But if you stop nitpicking the hell out of the few things that make no sense, this show is a lot of fun. This is one of the most enjoyable anime series you will ever watch and it's a must-see for beginners. Characters with real motivations and personalities. This show has em. You'll watch an antisocial loner that everybody hates become a hero that everybody relies on and learns to love theplayful quirks of. You'll watch a cold, depressed, stern, iron-hearted girl lighten up and learn to love others and enjoy life, while remaining a badass on the battlefield. You'll watch a cruel villain who created this extravagant, huge world, using his playerbase as guinea pigs, lose his grasp on his evil plan, while watching the players within it love his creation, despite it being the thing that may cause their deaths.
Amazing Fight Scenes, Character Designs, Sound Design, and Aesthetic.
Amazing emotional scenes. An Amazing Romance.
SAO remains amazing, even with its plotholes. Don't let nitpicking haters deter you from this show. Don't view it as though every criticism is an objective truth. You're allowed to love this show, no matter what anyone online may say.
