Review of Attack on Titan

Attack on titan is one of the most popular anime of all time and it definitely seems like it deserves to be. Attack on titans story is just amazing. Not only is it interesting and original, it is also unpredictable and you're almost guaranteed to be surprised by how things develop during the anime. It isn't unpredictable by doing stupid things though, everything that happens seems to make sense which is great. At its core the story is about humans fighting titans which of course is cool in its own right but the story goes deeper than you'd initially think. The characters all seem good. Thecast is quite broad and even though some characters don't feel like they're getting too much attention now, it seems like they're being set up for later in the story.

The animation overall is pretty solid. Some scenes have have thick black lines or unclear animation for things/people a bit farther away but this isn't a huge deal. There's also CG but it's incorporated well and unlikely to be a bother. The style of the animation fits the anime well and is slightly gory sometimes which should honestly be expected. The action scenes are dynamic and cool to watch. The music, sound and voice acting are all solid and suit the anime well.

Overall this is an all-around great anime and if you have any interest in these types of shows whatsoever it's definitely worth watching.
