Review of ReLIFE
If you could take a pill from a stranger who claims it could change your life... Would you? No? Good. Thanks for checking out my review of ReLIFE. Have a great day! ...What? Ok. Ok. There is more to that. Arata takes a pill to make him 10 years younger, attend 3rd highschool in order to stop being a NEET. Sounds simple enough. This is one of the "The real journey was the friends we made along the way" Show. Except those friends will forget you once the magic pill is done. Am I spoiling it? No! This is all episode one baby! Watch Arata fumble through Highschool again and help those around him. He grows, he laughs, he ignores the mostly meh OST. No Seriously... There is this Piano theme that plays. A LOT! It is loud, and off putting. Good luck taking scenes seriously due to this. I watched this because people claim a currently airing show (Current at the time of writing this) Remake my Life is just like ReLIFE. It is not. I can say that.
ReLIFE is a good show though. A solid 8 with the 4 OVAs that give it its own spin on the conclusion. So even though this is considered 13 episodes... It is 17. The OVAs are different from the manga sure, but it is all one package. Give it a shot!
Story: 8 - Interesting concept and an awkward pace but it is still good!
Art: 8 - I love it. It is simple enough and yet detailed enough to grab you and not be overly distracting.
Sound: 6. Piano hit after Piano hit is starting to cause PTSD. Some tracks are really good! Like why the Piano. Seriously? Was there no other way to convey freaking tensity?
Characters: 8 - Chizuru best girl. Not an opinion. I am sorry if you are wrong.
Enjoyment: 8 - Came to this show after episode 8 of Remake my Life. I was not disappointed in the slightest.
Overall: 8 - It is a solid story and short. I binged it in one sitting since I am probably a great candidate for the freaking experiments. Oh hey, there is a guy outside in a suit. Later!
