Review of A Place Further Than The Universe
3 years after this was aired, I discovered it by scrolling through an 'Anime to watch before you die' list. That list was right. After watching it, I felt that feeling that only great series can leave behind, that feeling that makes you sit down and stare at the wall instead of continuing to scroll on in the endless feed of social media. This entire show felt like a dream, and if the show was a dream, finishing it was like waking up from a good dream. That unreal feeling pervaded the next few days after I finished the show. This show really made mefeel like I was wasting my life indoors, and made me hate being stuck inside quarantine even more as the main crew went to faraway places such as Australia and Antarctica. As someone who's never traveled to a different country, it made me feel like I had actually gone to a different country. This anime is something that I will have nostalgic memories of for a long time, I'm sure.
