Review of Horimiya

First and foremost, I have read the manga and was hooked and very enjoyed reading it. I thought it was a 10/10 so I might be biased with my high expectations and be a harsher critique because I want one of my favourite manga made into a good anime adaptation. At ep4: It has met my expectations with with art, character and story so far. Personally saying, they have chosen some of the better scenes which really helps with the pacing so that it does not feel too slow and its more or less using most of the same scenes as the manga so not missing tomuch.

The characters are in my opinion are more unique ones compared to other rom-coms. They have a more slightly realistic aspect with the fact that they are not perfect. Although the hair color is unrealistic, it does help shape each character and being able to tell the difference between some character as it the manga it does get quite confusing sometimes who is who.
The artwork is quite nice in general, I don't particularly have anything specific that I really dislike

Since i am seeing one of my favourite manga being adapted, I probably enjoy the show more than some others but I do have some criticism in that I feel like some of the scenes are robbed of their impact or need a bit more time for it to have a greater impact.

Finished:
Compared to the manga they had taken away a lot of the later arcs and stories which on one had it good because it gets a little dull and since it has been taken out, the story doesn't seem as slow at times but vice versa on the other hand, other good stories have been taken out and been cut short which in my opinion is quite disappointing. I wanted to have at least another season before they complete the whole story.

Characters are the pretty much the same the manga so they are in my opinion pretty good but I wouldn't say they are the best characters/character development there is.

The artwork is typical but good rom-com

In conclusion, it is a pretty good anime if you haven't read the manga but I feel like it hasn't done the manga justice. Although I'll assume some people will disagree but this is my own opinion
