Requiem of the Rose King · review
This anime, or rather this story, is simply an art piece. It's told as such, it's shown as such, it's supposed to be experienced as one, it cries and bleeds as such. It's meant to be art, it's meant to be complicated, its meant to cause all kinds of mixed feelings and emotions, so keep that in mind. The theme of "Requiem of the rose king" is what caught my attention initially. Won't lie - was deeply intrigued by what would happen next, how a person of such nature would survive in the given world/era, presented in the anime. Richard is very different from mostcharacters you're probably used to. The inner conflict, the way they're inevitably treated by society once the truth is revealed is mostly cruel, a witch's hunt would be the best possible description.
If you do decide to step foot in the anime, it should be with a completely open mind, or at least a desire to learn about the different kinds of people, who exist out there. We all deserve the same amount of love.
