Review of Summoned to Another World for a Second Time
Yuki, a high school student is sent into another world but the major twist is he's already been to this world in his past life before being reborn as Yuki he was Setsu. Setsu along with his classmates are taught the ways of the world and learn combat techniques as hero candidates; Knowing danger is lurking and conflict is brewing among the Demons and Humans Setsu sets out to investigate. Story & Character: 3/10 This has got to be the laziest way to develop the character and set a premise; This series already assumes we know the characters from Yuki's past life and the original storylineand skips all the establishment that a normal isekai would approach. Instead Setsu/Yuki is sent out on a journey to amass his old friends to join his party again and investigate the antagonist faction. The story lacks so much character development and plot progression that it tries to fill in the gaps with flashbacks which along with its lazy traits makes the experience so awkward to watch. It tries to hide the antagonist right up until the latter half and only hint but once the mystery is revealed the story becomes as predictable as any. There are too many irrelevant characters that show up for an episode or a small segment and disappear into the fray.
Art & Sound: 5/10
The art and animation are decent by modern standards, nothing extraordinary. They tried to add hints of comedy to the series but it just felt so empty especially with the lack of comedy visuals. Sound was also decent by modern standards, nothing spectacular.
Overall & Enjoyment: 3/10
Unless you're dead-set focused on isekai and OP MC (which this series isn't really an overpowered main character) I'd steer clear from this series. It's a messy watch for sure and has a lot of flaws beyond its characters and story.
