Brazenly In Love · review
Nothing fancy, nothing revolutionary, just a good ol' romantic comedy. It knows exactly what it's doing, and does it successfully. Art: A very nice style, and all of the characters are nice to look at. Character: All the characters are endearing, but in different ways. Even if certain character types aren't to your taste, you're likely to become fond of at least one of them. Story: The first volume is dedicated to the A couple, and the second volume is dedicated to the B couple, so depending on which you prefer you'll likely enjoy one of those more than the other. But each time the other characterswill pop up, and I ended up happy to see the other couple each time. The third volume is a bit more dramatic (exes! rivalries!) but it never becomes too over the top. Over all, it was a very solid, very successful romantic comedy.
Enjoyment: Absolutely perfect if you like standard BL romance. Not a lot of drama, not a lot of huge emotional highs or tragic lows, and no severe embarrassment comedy or wretched misunderstandings either; just a run-of-the-mill, middle-of-the-road romance. This isn't going to wreck you or change your life, but it's going to entertain you.
