Minimal pervy fan service with a fun setup, swords, and sick fights?? Sign me up! 9/10 Riyū is such a fun and cool character. And this might be bias, but it's fun watching people fall for such a puny masc person. But it's decidedly not a harem situation thankfully Fights are 10/10. Character development 8/10 supporting cast brings characters to this score through recent chapters.Art 10/10. That's what you get for working with an amazing illustrator.
World-building doesn't break immersion easily. 8/10
Story 9/10
10/10 if the gramps personal guard wasn't such a perv. But if you find that stuff funny you'll probably love this even more
Legitimately my favorite manga at the moment.
SPOILERS
So, Riyū's character development is very interesting. It starts as a nice old Yakuza dude. But the things it has to say about gender are very good. And it doesn't have that "some races are evil" cliche.
They explore institutional racism, though it's annoying that the racism is validated materially when that's not the case in reality. Regardless, it's decidedly positive, which is appreciated.
The drugs thing is weird at first but stick with it trust me. Probably won't blow your mind but it's interesting I promise
