Dorei Tensei: Sono Dorei, Saikyou no Moto Ouji ni Tsuki · review
Despite beginning with a rather interesting reincarnation premise, so far, Dorei Tensei has failed to live up to its story of mystery and intrigue by focusing on the slow-build of the protagonists' 'harem' of women in his party instead of meaningful tension or stakes in the story. The story does not do anything interesting with the protagonists' Gary-stu persona of being well-liked by women, and his being extremely overpowered both physically, intellectually, and in terms of his capability to do magic. Because of this, the story so far has lacked tension. It does not particularly help that the cast of characters accompanying the protagonist inhis journey are not particularly interesting, well-written nor endearing.
The art is quite good however with nice use of blacks and shading to suggest a darker, more mature narrative that sadly never comes to fruition here.
