The Hopeless Desire of a Witch · review
As a pretty experienced reader it's unfortunate to have to recommend against this story. The beginning is both lackluster and confusing as poorly communicated exposition as well as an absolute failure to grab the attention results in a frustration few other stories have managed to accomplish. The art was relatively average but had a consistent quality to it is really the best pro to be said in favor of this story. If you're considering starting this one personal opinions recommend trying it and if it fails to capture your attention as well it's best just to move on. In retrospect the story could've accomplished far greater ideasif it didn't try to establish far too much of a mysterious backstory that 9 chapters in you'll still be trying to figure out what this plot point is supposed to mean or how it could've affected the main character. Instead you're treated to consistent call backs of the same mystery with no additional information being provided to the reader and instead of becoming more intrigued you face an increasingly problematic mindset wondering "why have I been told this exact same thing 7 times in two chapters?"
