I'm going to preface this by saying I love the game this is based on, it's one of my favourite games I've ever played, and I enjoyed this manga too. This definitely is not a 1-to-1 adaptation, it's very loosely based on the game. It's basically an original work with a Yume Nikki coat of paint. If you haven't played the game, you probably won't have any idea what's going on. If you have, you probably won't either. That being said, I really liked this. I found how they adapted the game's mechanics interesting, and the horror felt horrible, as it should. The plot isvery strange and difficult to keep track of, and the characters are pretty shallow, so make sure not to go into this expecting anything deep. It's a short, bizzare horror romp that will probably leave everyone who reads it wondering what they just read, and if you like that, you'll like this.
