Magical☆Star Kanon 100% · review
While I do feel a bit conflicted about giving this such an unenthusiastic review (given that it's the first one, at the time of this writing), I am a firm believer that every title should have at least one review. I reread this for the review. Story, 4: Since this was mostly a comedic aside, the story wasn't expected to be anything fantastic. Unfortunately for me, the humor fell mostly flat, which made the rest of the story seem lackluster. Art, 7: The art, however, is very similar too its parent series, which I appreciated. There were several panels that had particular nice art. Characters, 5: It wasa very fast-paced read, which didn't allow much time for the characters to develop. Those familiar with the parent series will recognize some of the cast (namely the title character Kanon), but there isn't much going on here (at least for me).
Enjoyment, 4: I didn't really have a fantastic time reading this. It was inoffensive but not life-altering by any stretch.
Overall, 4: Superfans of The World God Only Knows may like this, or perhaps die-hard mahou shoujo fans, but if neither of these titles apply to you, I think this title is entirely skippable. It's a very quick read, but nothing too interesting.
