you know that feeling of secondhand embarrassment you get when you see someone doing something so outlandish and freakishly stupid that you wish you also had that level of ballsiness in life? that's what i felt reading this manga. now don't get me wrong; it's a pretty harmless story—high school girl has a crush on her way older cousin brother, but the latter doesn't really give much of a damn about his sister's [romantic] feelings. the story is too short—just sixteen pages, mind you—for it to even develop further; we just get to see some instances of childish jealousy from our female lead, while her brother'sjust, dare i say cheesily, absorbing the attention because clearly he has nothing better to do in this story. the art style is what you'd expect from kou mori, a constant if you will—at least one thing makes sense.

while i understand my review may seem a bit too passive-aggressive for one's liking, it also needs to be understood that romance oneshots are hard to grade, especially when it is of a concept like such. just when you feel like there is some semblance of plot or character development, you see the end page rolling in.

overall, this oneshot stands at a solid 5/10 for me—it's not entirely mediocre, but it's not outright bad either. it's not memorable in any way, and is simply something you can read to pass the time.
