This manga was very bittersweet. At times it was very sweet and cute but at others it was heart wrenching. I was not expecting the story to turn out the way it did. It was completely different from what I was expecting, but in a good way. I believe that the personalities of the characters were all quite realistic and it really displayed the issues at the time in a way in which people can understand and see the implications and atrocities of war. As well as the sadness and sorrow that follows war. I highly recommend this manga, it really just hit different.
