If you're like me and didn't know Fukurou-kun to Kare is more or less part of a series and more of a sequel than just an independent spin-off (although it can absolutely be read like one) to Chuchun ga Chun and just randomly picked it up and reading, you might not understand the low rating but bear with me. Fukurou-kun to Kare is about Fukurou, a TV sports announcer, and Shiratori one of the most proeminent baseball players at the moment. Fukuro gets as his first task making a report on Shiratori, since no female announcers can be assigned to him because they always endup getting seduced.

That is the first red flag we get going for Shiratori, and when their relationship started I should have listened to the second flag, because it didn't make any sense at all, but because Fukurou is actually a nice character, it works, more or less. Fukurou never trespasses boundaries and is an honest and earning guy, you can't help but want a good ending for him. But when Chun and Ootaka got in the equation it felt weird. They played a role of "antagonists" (not really but you can't help feeling a bit wary about them), but it felt off when you considered their personalities and behaviors

The manga ended without major problems (if you ignore the adoption(?) stuff), until I read Chuchun ga Chun and then everything made sense. Despite my low rating, seeing the overall score of this manga, I imagine some people can actually enjoy characters like Shiratori and stories centered around them, so someone reading this might enjoy this manga. It's a faint 5/10 in isolation but knowing what happened beforehand it becomes an unbearable read.
