Time Prisoner is about our main character, Huan Yuan who is part of a secretive task force called phantom force that prevents danger coming to humanity. However, during a mission to obtain and extract the immortal treasure Huan Yuan and his squad members are betrayed by another squad that were out to collect the immortal treasure for another party. While losing his team and being on the brink of death, Huan Yuan manages to escape with the immortal treasure and fused with it. Now Huan Yuan is framed by the team that betrayed him because he 'ran' off with the treasure and becomes a wantedperson in the city. Huan Yuan also learns of the powers he gained from fusing with the immortal treasure which has the power to stop time, move heavy objects with ease and many more functions. It also seems like the people who betrayed him are also after him plus begin to spread a virus known as HP that immobilizes humans permanently. How will Huan yuan fare against these odds stacked against him?

Story & Character: 5/10
The beginning had a great hook with a secretive operative squad and all the right reasons to enjoy it: Betrayal, MC becomes OP, MC wants to find who betrayed him etc. However, I think the longer I stayed watching the more uninteresting it got - We are introduced to so many good characters but they don't suit the story where MC tries to save the world and there is so much going on in the story that the execution of all of the side-stories feel sloppy. We have the HP virus situation that evolves every episode with more victims and more devious symptoms; We have the corporation out hunting MC because of the immortal treasure, and we have MC trying to maintain an unsustainably active lifestyle with no plan/goal to solve his problems or improve strength - only concerned for how he can join up with his former comrades or his family members. He always gets random power ups when he finds out some of his close family and friends are in trouble which makes no sense and the immortal treasure feels clumsy when it's used by MC. Wished for a more competent story and main character.

Art & Sound: 6/10
Rendering 3D CGI is not an easy feat especially with high fidelity polygons but come on, the scenes have maximum 5 people in them. It confuses me that in city scenes you'd expect crowds or busy streets, in this series the streets feel more secluded and low detailed especially the extras that run or walk in the background. The sound is pretty decent not too deep in quality.

Enjoyment & Overall: 5/10
This series feels like a rip off of so many donghua/anime that it is sad that the beginning was so interesting. So many plot holes and poorly planned logic make this series a hit or miss in my opinion. If you don't enjoy the first 2 episodes I'd suggest skipping this series because the first few episodes are the better plot points in the series.
