Review of A Whisker Away

*SPOILERS AHEAD* Good GOD! I can definitely say I absolutely hated this movie. I'd actually rather beat frozen cheese cubes up my nostrils than to watch this dumpster diaper of a movie again. I was frustrated from beginning to end. The main character is absolutely abhorrent, she literally cares about no one but herself. I really don't think that she knows what the word "no" means; either that or she certainly doesn't care to. When she got rejected, harshly for that matter, I laughed at first, but I didn't kind of feel bad, thinking that he could've worded it better to a simple "no" but omgthe fact that even after that she STILL said she was going to pursue him! She's clinically insane! What the hell goes on through her head to think it's okay to do things like that? She doesn't think before doing anything at all. She doesn't even consider the feelings of those around her, and does whatever she pleases! She doesn't even care about the feelings of her own crush!! She sexually harasses him, sexually assaults him, and even STALKS him!!!!!! I'm shocked the guy hasn't filed for a restraining order. She literally turns into a cat to go stalk him in his own house, it's weird, and gross!! If I were the guy, I'd hate her for life for doing something insane like that! Just imagine if the roles were switched and guy was doing that to a girl? He'd be sentenced to death! but when the girl does it, it's "funny" and "cute" and play it off as a joke? wtf? The romance of the movie is absolutely twisted and forced. The sheer fact that they actually ended up together is outrageous. Possibly one of the worst romances I have ever seen. The art was the complete opposite of everything else, it was the best part of the movie; which, I mean, isn't really saying much I guess.. I'm probably making the art sound bad, it definitely wasn't. The art was beautiful, and I liked it. Although, despite the art being good, it's not going to change my thoughts on the whole movie.

Overall, it was really bad, and I hated it. Probably the worst anime movie I have ever seen, and I would not recommend this to even my worst enemy. I was going to give this movie the benefit of the doubt. two times I thought "You know, maybe this movie isn't as bad as I thought, maybe the main character will change. Maybe they won't get together, and she'll get a reality check, move on with her life, and change for the better." but oh, lordy was I wrong. After that ending, I was stunned. I knew it was going to be bad from the beginning, yet I watched it anyway, hoping it'll get good, but it didn't. It was a disappointment from the beginning, through and through. I don't recommend.
