Review of A Whisker Away

A whisker away is one part Spirited Away, one part A Silent Voice and one part Garden of Words. What seems like a sweet and cute movie on the surface is actually hiding some dark connotations about depression and sucidal ideation. I think a lot of people are brushing this movie off because they themselves haven't experienced a darkness like that in there lives. What starts off as a very on the surface idea of escapism takes on a deeper meaning in the second half where our mc meets several individuals who gave up there human lives and now regret their decision to abandon their livesand loved ones.

With great animation, amazing music, a compelling story and a surpringly deep and hopeful message A Whisker Away deserves appreciation. Im sure it will reach the people who need it most and everyone else can enjoy a sweet and whimsical fantasy

And for english dub watchers, Cherami Leigh and Johnny Yong Bosch deliver amazing performances as usual
