Review of Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic-
+ Like Season 2, Kaguya Season 3 is a wonderful anime adaptation of the manga! A-1 Pictures knows exactly how to elevate and embellish on the jokes of the source material + The animation is colourful and fluid (most of the time), and gives what would ostensibly be a simple rom-com a great deal of levity + The voice acting is spot-on as per usual + The ED is amazing, especially compared to Season 2's lackluster ED ~ The OP "GIRI GIRI" is a bit of a step back compared to Season 2's "DADDY! DADDY! DO!" both in terms of funky musical vibes and visual style ~ There are timeswhen you can very obviously see some low-effort animation to save on money and time (to its credit, they use these moments to deliver jokes)
= Kaguya S3 is nothing short of a fantastic adaptation! The animation and storyboarding have gone above-and-beyond with the execution of a story that is now kicked it into high gear. It's funny, cute and undeniably romantic. Truly one of A1's finest work!
