Review of Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro
Our "hero" is a 2nd year nerdy pervy virgin who's only redeeming virtue is he's a pretty good artist. Enter 1st year student and budding dominatrix Miss Nagatoro, who mockingly, ironically calls our "hero" Senpai. Perfectly petite and deliciously adorable, but bad news for Senpai, or is she? This is the story of their very dysfunctional, but hilarious sado-masochistic relationship. Every episode is fun and fast paced with a perfectly balanced mix of supporting characters. The whole first series has just the right amount of plot twists and a story arc that is as well paced as each episode. The main characters are brilliantly and perfectlyrealized. Especially Nagatoro - Hayashi to her three busty BFFLs (who are almost as fiendish in their treatment of poor Senpai). Her every crazed expression leads us into the next cruel and nasty intentions she has in store for Senpai. Senpai is equally well realized - sniveling, desperate, unwilling to stand up to Nagatoro, secretly hoping he has a chance with her, even tho he doesn't ... or does he? Nagatoro, despite her confident, cool and cruel demeanor is strangely protective of Senpai and seems to be hiding something. Will Senpai ever penetrate her facade or is he doomed to be her emotional, mental and physical whipping boy forever?
