I am shocked at how much this anime (especially this season) was able to pull off. Before I started watching this anime, I thought that it was one of those imperial-themed isekai anime with a bit of romance involved but I was way off point here. This anime is not an Isekai, instead, it might be the Rom-Com with the most potential as of yet and I know, I might be betraying Toradora by saying that but Toradora is and will remain one of the few Model Rom-Com. Now let's start by discussing the strengths of this season of Love is War. The Storyline: The things Iliked the most is the character development and romantic progression. Each character has his or her backstory which makes the story even more interesting. The different angles and aspects that are showcased through the backstories of each main character are just hints of what this masterpiece is capable of. The romantic progression here is awfully slow but slow doesn't mean bad. The romantic progression plays an essential role in the gradual story-building of this anime. It advances slowly but that's where the suspense part kicks in. There is so much suspense in the final episodes of this anime that you can't stop yourself from getting overexcited. Moving on, the Romantic Subtext part of this anime is mainly focused on other main characters like Yuu Ishigami and Miko Iino so, it's good but not one of the main focuses of the story. Overall, the story is amazingly designed with each character suiting their given role.

Visuals:
I would expect nothing less from A-1 Pictures. The adaptation was flawless. Everything from the backgrounds to the characters themselves was beautifully animated and presented to the audience. The visuals worked with the story to engage the viewers and keep them engaged. This is one of the best A-1 Pictures productions to date and I loved it.

The Not-Good Points:
There's nothing specific to discuss here mainly because this anime is really good but if you want me to dive deep and find a not-good point then let me tell you, I've already tried once and found absolutely nothing.

Other Thoughts:
I've asked many people including some of my close friends for their opinion on this anime and all of them said that they have never seen a Rom-Com better than this and I can pretty clearly see why they said this. I won't recommend that you start your weeb life by watching Love is War first, instead, watch it after you've watched a decent amount of anime (around 10 anime). The OP 'Giri Giri' is also a pretty good one. The ED 'Heart wa Oteage' is even better but the character design is a bit weird.

Conclusion:
This is an amazing anime with everything you'd expect from a Rom-Com and even more. Once I started watching this anime, I literally couldn't stop and am still asking for more. So, I would recommend this anime to you and once you've watched it, I know that you would recommend it to others too.
