Review of Haikyu!! Movie: The Dumpster Battle

I will keep it short, I appreciate the deeper into characters backgrounds and thought processes in this movie and season 4. I appreciate it in the sense that I see my favourite characters lives and how that too enters the court and influences team dynamics. What I DONT appreciate is the flashbacks during the game. It ruins the flow of the match, the tension, it loses our focus, we were holding our breaths, now it’s out. It’s killing the show. I understand there’s a lot of emotions from the characters building up to this moment, but don’t force spoon feed it. We can’t see the flashbacksafter the game, before the game, maybe even in the breaks, but not while someone is spiking the ball. Like come on, you producers cannot be this bad.

So many animes are ruined by flashbacks. Flashbacks are only good when there’s very few of them, then they actually have impact.
