Review of My Love Story!!

tldr: this anime blends comedy with sincerity and romance very well and it keeps you entertained all 24 episodes Full Review: As someone who loves romance (not just romcoms), sometimes I find it hard to consistently watch them because of how heavy they can get towards the ends (and sometimes middles) of the shows. (But don't get me wrong. Everyone needs a good tear-jerker once and awhile.) But with Ore Monogatari!! I never once felt this heavy emotional burden. This is due to the way they can blend comedy into every situation. Whether it's slapstick or something more subtle the comedy always comes out of nowhere and neverfeels forced. This is the main reason I loved this anime.

As for the art and sound of the show:

It never stood out to me as the reason I was watching the show. Anytime I enjoyed either of these two aspects was due to their comedic effects. One thing that I really enjoyed, however, was the little subtitles as they talked. They gave a lot of insight into Suna and sometimes Yamato as well.

As for the characters:

The two main characters are indeed perfect for each other. They not only complement each other perfectly but also match in many interesting ways. This could be anything from acting the same way, to worrying about the same things. I think this duo shows all of love's quirks and intricacies very realistically. The side characters really outdid themselves as well. From Suna being the best wingman and best friend a guy can ask for from Suna's sister being very mature about Takeo's feelings and how to best help him. Every side character felt like it had a purpose and progressed not only the duo's relationship but also their relationships as well.

In conclusion:

This anime is now tied for #1 as my favorite anime ever. It is the first show I have physically laughed out loud every episode and one of the only shows to retain my attention for more than a couple days (I binge a lot of my shows). The pacing was perfect for me. I never felt like their relationship was rushed nor did I feel like it ever slowed down. I wholeheartedly give this anime a 10/10 and will be rewatching it in the future.
