This special provides some interesting context to the series as a whole. The first and third parts are both relatively weak, but at least give some more dimension to a few of the character dynamics, with the first one in particular covering the brotherly bonds on the Vanettis well, albeit not with a strong connection to the series proper. It's the second part that keeps this at a 7/10 for me, since it gives us some insight into the character dynamics that predated the Vanetti family as a criminal enterprise and gives us some idea of where the connections to their associates came from. Itall looks just as good as the mainline series, so even though the drama isn't exactly gripping, it's a comfortable place to end the series on a look back.
