Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

I'll try to keep it concise and without spoilers. The anime was great up to around Ep. 15. After a specific event however, the anime started to make less and less sense to me and it was all downhill up to the last episode. More specifically, the final arc didn't make much sense, the main relationship didn't feel fulfilling (there was a better option here) and, finally, the psychological effects for the main character didn't have the impact they should have had. To extend a little bit on the last point which destroyed the anime for me: psychological development of the main character. It felt as though andthey wanted to go for the "happy ending" effect with the story. This, in my opinion, should have not been the case and these psychological effects should have been more prominent and more in depth than the story went for in the closing episodes.

Since the closing arc didn't feel very fulfilling for me, I cannot recommend a watch of this anime.
